Alan Gwizdowski is a photographer and cinematographer residing in Los Angeles, California. Born in Rhode Island and raised all over the country, Alan’s artistic family helped nurture his creative efforts. With a father working in broadcast journalism and artist brother and cousin, Alan’s creative foundation was in place long before he became an artist himself. Alan’s graphic and urban style blended with his educational curriculum, as he earned his bachelor’s degree in Visual and Media Arts from Emerson College.
In 2006, Alan became a staff photographer at WERS 88.9FM in Boston, where he gained experience in high-pressure environments, photographing mainstream artists during live concerts as well as in-studio performances. In 2007 he was promoted to Photo Editor for the station’s award winning website, www.wers.org. Also in 2007, Alan began working as the staff photographer for the Improper Bostonian Magazine, all while continuing to freelance in Washington D.C., New York, Rhode Island, and Boston; as well as earning his degree from Emerson College. In 2009, Alan moved to Los Angeles to continue his career as a photographer and cinematographer. He is currently shooting everything from commercial/ advertisement photography, to journalistic events and fashion photography; as well as music videos and commercials. When Alan is not working in the entertainment field he is constantly pursuing personal projects and continuing his art.
