Wood Types: Cherry and Mahogany dowels for the exposed pegged joints
Finish: Zinsser Amber Shellac, Citrus-Shield Paste Wax
Height: 27” - Width: 20” - Depth: 12”
Designed to hold 12 wine/champagne bottles and 12 wine glasses. Each bottle is held by a combination of 2 arches. The downward arch is the Flying Arch of the piece. It supports the horizontal load of the 3 other arches which hold the vertical load (the bottles).
To fit the arches together, I made half-lap joints using router freehand with a 3/8” bit. The neck brace for the bottles are joined with the arches with a blind dovetail.
